Officials say Evan Miller was driving his 2006 Toyota Corolla in August of 2023 in Decatur Twp. before speeding off a culvert and into a home's second story.
Court records indicate that Miller had been driving under the influence, claiming that he tried to hurt himself after seeing demons and believing that he was a demon.
Troopers state Miller was also seen exiting the vehicle following the crash, growling at officials and yelling at an EMS member.
After investigating, Troopers determined that Miller had been going 90 to 100 mph before launching his car off the culvert.
Luckily, no one in the home was injured in the crash but Miller reportedly was sent to a local hospital for his injuries.
Recently at a court hearing Tuesday morning on May 28 of 2024, Miller pleaded guilty to recklessly endangering another person and DUI.
All other charges were dropped.
Miller is currently being held at the Mifflin County Prison and is facing a minimum sentence of nine months and a maximum sentence of two years.
